Job Overview

Role: Receptionist

Applications for interested and suitably qualified candidates are invited in respect of the
above position.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To attend to all incoming telephone calls and direct callers to the appropriate staff members for further assistance with a view of always projecting the Bank’s professional image as well as providing a support function for certain Branch administrative duties.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
– Answers all incoming calls and assists with queries and re-directing of calls.
– Receives visitors at the front Reception area in a warm and professional
manner.
– Co-ordinates bookings for meeting rooms and ensures that refreshments are arranged for guests accordingly.
– Relieves switchboard operator as and when necessary
– Receives hand deliveries/courier parcels and informs the relevant staff accordingly
– Maintains a Visitors Register including visitors cards
– Directs visitors to the appropriate person/meeting room
– Performs typing services when necessary
– All receptionist related functions
– Other relevant duties

QUALIFICATIONS
– A Secretarial/ Administrative Certificate or related qualification

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
– 1 year experience in a similar role is required
– Previous receptionist/switchboard experience

SKILLS REQUIRED
– Proficient on Microsoft Office
– Excellent client liaison and communication skills
– Time management skills
– Attention to detail
– Ability to organise and priotrize.
– Ability to work under pressure

GENERAL
– Must be presentable and well groomed at all times
